Shri Mali Pavangowda, renowned as Yuva Sene president, was born in Sira, Tumkur District of Karnataka. He and his parents Mali Mariyappa and Nagarathna belong to Vokkaliga Gowda’s/Agricultural/Cultivator community. Basically, from Mysore, Karnataka, he hails from a family of business people, politicians, entrepreneurs and agriculturists going back many generations. His ancestors Shri Shahukar Dodda maddegowda, Nilgiri Dodda Papanna, and Nilgiri Chikka Papanna were successful entrepreneurs during the Maharaja's rule in Mysore and Shri Mali Mariyappa(i) was the Minister of Co-operation Department in the Government of Mysore. Later on, he became the Member of Parliament in the Government of Karnataka while MP Veeranna became an agriculturist/landlord and Village Headmen. His father also by name Mali Mariyappa(ii) Apart from being a politician, is a senior advocate in Bangalore.
Shri Mali Pavangowda graduated in faculty BA (Law) LLB from Law College in Bangalore, affiliated to the Bangalore University. Soon after his graduation, he started working as a Junior Advocate at Law Point, Solicitors & Advocates under the guidance of his father and Senior Advocate Mali Mariyappa(ii).
Later on, he joined as a legal officer in a renowned builder company called BREN. Then, he switched to Fox Mandal & Associates, an international law firm as Advocate & Associate. His strong belief in ultranationalism and his unadulterated love for his motherland made him to choose Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in order to serve public. Apart from being a Zonal Secretary, he emerged as one of the most popular and influential student's union leader in Karnataka. Noting his organizational acumen, he was asked to serve as secretary in ABVP. Later on, he served as Convener of World Organization of Students and Youth (WOSY).
Shri Mali Pavangowda is a great aficionado of Shri Kuvempu, the national poet/rashtrakavi who penned the famous state anthem Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate Jaya he Karnataka mathe. He admired him for his beautiful works and his contribution to "Universal Humanism" ("Vishwamaanavata Vaada"). Other leaders whom he venerated include Shri B R Ambedkar, who campaigned against social discrimination towards untouchables (dalits). Shri Basavanna, 12th-century philosopher who spread social awareness through his well-known poetry called Vachanaas. Basavanna vetoed gender or social discrimination, superstitious rituals such as wearing of sacred thread and introduced new public institutions called Anubhava Mantapa, the first parliament in the world. Shri Bhagat Singh, an Indian nationalist who is considered to be the most influential revolutionaries. Shri Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, an Indian nationalist whose defiant patriotism made him instant hero. Also, he is a huge buff of Swami Vivekananda’s writings, poems and modern Vedanta.
Shri Mali Pavangowda is influenced by simplicity and discipline of Dr. Rajkumar, humanity and Philanthropy of Dr. Vishuvardhan, creative and forward thinking of Shri Shankarnag and bravery of Indian environmentalist Saalumarada Thimmakka and many other leaders who fought for women empowerment and youth empowerment.
Shri Mali Pavangowda is an ideal follower of this Sanskrit phrase " Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam " which means "the world is one family”. This phrase is found in Hindu texts such as the Maha Upanishad.
To keep his ultra nationalistic ideology and his love for mother land and mother tongue (mother State and country) alive, he decided to launch a youth organization called YUVA SENE in 2010. As a founding president/state president of YUVA SENE, he created the concept of channelizing and transforming youth energy into service for the people.
